Endodontist, Root Canal Specialist, Dr Arundhati Misra-Sauparn

Dr Arundhati Misra-Sauparn (known by her maiden name of Dr Misra)  is passionate about what she does and believes in giving sensitive and quality care to her patients. She understands that root canal therapy is misunderstood by many and works to erase the myths about “pain and discomfort” associated with root canal therapy one patient at a time.

Dr Misra-Sauparn grew up in India and began her career as a dentist in India in 2007 where she worked in private practice as well as taught dentistry as an Assistant Professor before deciding to pursue Advanced Specialty Training in Endodontics at New York University. After receiving her specialty degree in Endodontics, Dr Misra – Sauparn relocated to Northern VA and has practiced as an endodontist and served patients throughout NOVA including Vienna, Tysons, Merrifield, Arlington, Falls Church, Burke, Woodbridge, Lorton, Dale City, McLean, Fairfax, Centerville, South Riding, Alexandria, Herndon, Great Falls, and Reston.

Dr Misra-Sauparn lives in Fairfax County near the Tyson’s area. She spends her leisure time with her husband, daughter & toddler son. When not practicing endodontics she enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school and traveling with her family.

Services she provides: root canal therapy (RCT), root canal retreatment, emergency dental care, and dental surgeries including apicoectomies, utilization of state of the art technology, nitrous oxide sedation, oral sedation, performing diagnosis with latest diagnostic aids such as 3D imaging CBCT, and practicing microscopic endodontics.


Meet Our Periodontist – Dr Richard Tami

For teeth which have a poor endodontic prognosis, we have a board-certified periodontist on our team, Dr Richard Tami. He is Ex-President of Virginia Society of Periodontology and is a member of the American College of Dentists.

Dr Tami has been featured in the Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazines as Top Periodontist since 2008 to present. He was also the Founder and Past President of the Woodbridge Dental Study Club and was inducted into the Prince William County Walk of Fame in 2016. This induction was to honor his construction of the baseball field for disabled children.

Dr Tami has been married to his wife Joyce for 44 years. They have three lovely children and are blessed with four grandchildren. Dr Tami’s interests outside of dentistry include golf, scuba diving, and biking.

Dr Tami takes pride in serving the Northern Virginia community, including Tysons, Vienna and Fairfax, and offers state of the art periodontal treatments for our patients in need of endodontic-periodontal combined issues.
